OTHER SIDE OF MICHELLE...The
Real Michelle
Mention Michelle
aka "The Last Virgin From Malaysia" and almost
everyone in Penang will remember him as Vor Amphitheatre's
most flamboyant stand-up comedian and entertainer. After
he got retrenched from Vor in 1999, he then formed Fun Factory
Entertainment with his co partner, Bennie Teh. Many people
in the audience would always be kept guessing the gender
of Michelle. Sporting a pair of lovely legs and shapely
figure, one would not be wrong to think that michlle is
a woman. And she is not of much help by being coy and evasive
when asked.
"I
could say that i'm a woman or I am a man and they would
not believe me either way. So I would describe Michelle
as a typical human being but with no gender classification".Dressing
up as a woman is a gimmick as it is more catchy and I do
it in a very professional manner. In my career , I have
entertained royalties, ministers,state assemblymen and society's
elite and till this day I have yet to receive any negative
comments. They respect me for what I do and I really thank
them from the bottom of my heart.
WHY DRESS UP AS A WOMAN?
That is the
most common question I normally get.
I have to be different in order to stay ahead of my fellow
competitors. A woman would grab more attention with her
glamorous dressing compared to a man with a limited wardrobe.
I once went on stage as my true self but the response was
not so good as everyone was expecting the "real"
Michelle to appear. But to be honest, it is difficult to
be a woman as you have to be seductive, elegant and sophisticated
all at the same time and not forgetting the 4 inch stilettos.
MY GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT
To have acted
on stage together with a famous director and actor from
Singapore.It was a Baba Nyonya play titled "Curi
Ayam" in 1999 at Dewan Sri Pinang. That was my
first and last time on stage as an actor because the preparations
took a long time and it was so different with the emceeing
jobs I did. The greatest satisfaction I got was getting
good reviews from the major newspapers. To me it was worth
it...
